1965 Chevrolet Corvette

Imperial Motorcars is please to offer this unique 1965 Corvette Stingray 396 Big Block. This amazing survivor has a unique history and has been cared for by the same owner for the last 25 years. In 1971 this corvette was stolen and then recovered but as a result of the theft New York State unfortunately issued it a designated State Vin #. As part of the state vin process all of the original vin numbers on the car were removed. So what do we know? we know she was keep under the same ownership for the last 25 years, it has been cared for and regularly driven, it drives amazing because it is not a garage queen, 396 Pass Hi Perf motor is date coded May 28, 1966 and has 45,000 miles since the engine rebuild, we have a box of service records dating back to 1993, the transmission is a 4 speed Muncie M21, the interior was restored two years ago, the paint job is over 25 years old but was done to high standard and still looks great, the wheels are knockoff replicas, it has the original hard top and radio, it has side pipes.
Here is what we are not certain about since we do not have the original vin or any option tags on the car. We don't know if it is a true big block car, we don't know if it is a numbers matching car and we don't know if it is painted in the original color although all signs indicate that it is.
